Restorative Dentistry

When natural teeth are damaged or lost due to trauma or disease, a number of options are available to restore form and function to your smile. Following a complete analysis of your teeth and supporting bone and gum structures, our doctors will offer you recommendations and develop a treatment plan with you that fits your lifestyle, schedule and budget. Restorative Services include:
Dental Fillings - our practice uses only mercury free filling materials.
Crowns, Inlays and Onlays - custom-fitted restorations that restore strength to teeth weakened from decay or trauma.
Bridges - fixed appliances which rely on neighboring teeth to serve as abutment support for "false" teeth.
Removable appliances - such as complete and partial dentures offer replacement when several or all of the natural teeth have been lost.
Dental Implants - small, cylinder-shaped device that is inserted in the place of a missing tooth, then covered with a crown.
Root Canals - it is sometimes necessary to remove the nerve of a tooth that has become damaged. Teeth that have had root canal therapy should be protected with a crown following treatment.
Biteguards - custom-fitted, removable plastic appliances (often worn during sleep) are sometimes needed to protect teeth and jaw joints from trauma due to teeth grinding or clenching.
